We are seeking volunteer operations specialists who can support a loving, healthy environment for our cats and an appealing space for our visitors.

As a volunteer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the space is clean and well-maintained for our furry friends and visitors.

Available shifts:

Daily: 10am-12pm or 4:30pm-6:30pm

You and your paw-some teammates cat-tastic contributions include...

• Cleaning and sanitizing cat litter boxes.
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
• Providing cats with fresh food and water, and cleaning dishes.
• Dusting and wiping surfaces, including furniture, shelves, and windows.
• Assisting with laundry for cats (e.g. washing cat blankets).

• Possess a strong attention to detail and sense of cleanliness.
• Have the ability to work efficiently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Respect the well-being and comfort of cats.
• Can work as part of a team.
• Can be consistently responsible for agreed upon shifts.

If you’re happy talking to people, we welcome you with open paws!Join our team of meow-some volunteers as we embark on a mission to spread joy and love to both humans and our furry friends. Get ready for endless cuddles, purrs, and whisker-filled adventures!

2 hour shifts are available during business hours:

Thursday-Monday, 12pm-6pm.

NOTE: For this position you will train as an Operations Specialist first to learn all aspects of Catnap kitty care. Once a you complete an Operations shift in the morning, you can switch to Ambassador mode or stay as long as you like for kitty cuddles!

• Warmly greeting visitors and handling visitor inquiries.
• Engaging with visitors to make sure they are comfortable and having a good time.
• Spreading the word about the cat lounge to increase visits.
• Assisting with special events (e.g. Cat Yoga, Movie Night).
• Spot cleaning messes.
• Ensuring that noise and activity levels of visitors is calm.

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic volunteer social media specialists who can spread the word about the hangout and adoption lounge online through dynamic, fun, creative cat content!

As a social media specialist, you will be responsible for showcasing the claw-some experience of our space--resulting in more visits, adoptions, and funding.

If you are creative, detail-oriented, and excited about the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of cats and humans alike, we want to hear from you!

Your cat-tastic contributions include...

• Creating engaging social media content for the cat lounge's various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, etc.).

• Scheduling and posting regular updates about events, promotions, and adorable cat moments.

• Responding to comments, messages, and inquiries from social media followers.

• Monitoring social media trends and suggest innovative ideas to increase engagement and reach.

• Are proficient in social media platforms and tools.
• Have excellent written communication and design skills.
• Are creative and can generate engaging content in a timely manner.
• Have basic photography and photo editing skills (optional but preferred).

• Developing creative and engaging events that promote cat adoption, attract potential adopters, and raise awareness about our organization (e.g. adoption events, community gatherings, and fundraising activities)

• Securing event locations, managing budgets, and working with volunteers coordinator to schedule volunteers for events.
  

• Working with our marketing and social media volunteers to create compelling marketing materials to promote events through social media, local publications, and our website.
  

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic volunteer events coordinator to plan and execute engaging events that will spread the word about CatNap and ensure our fur-babies can find loving homes!
